ONCE UPON A PHOBIA
A retelling of four individual classic fairy tales; Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Sleeping Beauty and Snow White. Created as digital collages with mixed traditional materials. The intention of the theme is targeted towards an audience of 13 year olds and above. All in the form of original book cover mockups which, I am open to collaboration if anyone is interested in taking this idea further.
The idea behind this project was sort of an epiphany to researching more about the subject of social anxiety, since reflecting on my own personal history of selective mutism. I hope this artwork acts as a positive awareness around all kinds of mental health issues and encourages an uplifting compassion to everyone that is struggling.
